For a long time, young Hollywood stars have been impressing audiences with their breakthrough performances, and 2016 has been no different. This generation of upcoming talents have proven that they can hold their own in a business that is filled with only the biggest and the brightest.

Whether or not their respective films did good in the box office, they continued to give it all they’ve got. So without any further ado, here are the most promising stars of young Hollywood.
2016’s Breakout Stars from Young Hollywood
5. Margot Robbie, 26
Margot Robbie may be the oldest member of young Hollywood on this list, but she happens to experience the most success this year. After a breakout performance alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Wolf of Wall Street, the Australian beauty was finally given the chance to shine on her own by starring in two summer blockbusters this year namely Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad. Despite the two films being critically panned, Robbie’s roles as both Jane and Harley Quinn were named as the movies’ redeeming features.
4. Tom Holland, 20
Tom Holland had little acting experience before landing the coveted role of Spider-Man/Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He officially made his MCU debut in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War this year and gained praise for his portrayal as the web-slinging superhero. Holland is set to star in the stand-alone film next year, and he’ll work alongside fellow young Hollywood stars Zendaya and Tony Revolori.
3. Anya Taylor Joy, 20
Anya Taylor Joy made quite the splash in the indie circuit after her convincing portrayal of an accused witch in the supernatural horror film The Witch. She has two remaining feature films this year, the Netflix original Barry as well as the M. Night Shyamalan psychological horror film Split. Joy is also slated to join the X-Men universe as the young starlet is currently attached to play the mutant Magik.
2. Shameik Moore, 21
Shameik Moore is considered as one of young Hollywood’s greatest finds, and the Atlanta native proved just that after starring in the 2015 Sundance hit Dope. He is currently starring in a lead role in the Nextflix hip hop drama The Get Down where he plays DJ Shaolin Fantastic. His natural ability to convey both drama and comedy makes him a star on the rise.
1. Tony Revolori, 20
After landing a lead role in the Wes Anderson movie The Grand Budapest Hotel, Tony Revolori was ready for bigger things. In the film, he rubbed shoulders with Hollywood heavyweights Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton but managed to hold his own all throughout. Revolori’s next big project is a film with fellow young Hollywood actor Tom Holland, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
